This stunning Ford Escort Mk1 had a pair of Scheel Rolltops that had seen better days and they were really letting the car down. The owner wanted a leather trim that would compliment the OEM rear seats, which were black vinyl with Ford's "basketweave" centre panels, without actually using the same materials.

So black Connolly Leather was used here, with a perforated finish for the seat centres. This ensured that the visual difference between the front and rear seats would be minimal, but enabled the Recaros to be trimmed exactly as the owner wanted them. The horizontal pleat design was replicated and finally, this beautiful classic car finally had the interior it deserved.
