There's a bit of history with this job. The Sparco Torrino seats (formerly from Ford's limited edition Racing Puma) had been vandalised and set on fire during a previous ownership. As an understandable result of this, they were in a very sorry state!
Very little is insurmountable though, so I set about repairing all the damage to the foam. The brief for the retrim was to keep the original design of the seats, but change the Alcantara colour. So I used a bright red Alcantara and tweaked the embroidery colours so everything tied together. The bolsters and rear panels are in a similar cloth to the factory finish - even the semi-perforated wear panels are as close to the factory finish as possible.
The owner sourced brand new tilt levers and harness guides to complete the transformation and he also had a brand new steering wheel (new old stock) trimmed in the same Alcantara. It's a very OEM finish, which is exactly the result that was wanted.
There's been a lot of hours and money been poured into this Fiesta overall, and those efforts were certainly rewarded when it won Best On Stand at Ford Fair 2017... it's debut show!
