Originally, this 2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster was only coming to have the steering wheel retrimmed. It was being part-skimmed in carbon fibre and the owner wanted the grip sections finishing in perforated black leather and white stitching.
Somehow, the spec list increased from that to include the gearknob, and then a complete seat retrim!
As these seats have both heating and cooling facilities built into them, we opted for perforated white Italian leather for the seat centres. This allowed the air to still circulate when the functions were in use. The seat bulge on the driver's seat base was replicated onto the passenger seat and these, along with the upper "wings", were finished in perforated black leather.
The rest of the seats were trimmed in solid black Italian leather and finished with white topstitching.
The 370Z-specific "Z" logo needed to be incorporated in the headrests, but the owner didn't want embroidery. So a bespoke stamping die was made and the emblem was hot-stamped into the leather. An incredibly subtle touch, but one that finishes the retrim off beautifully.
