The gentleman who owns this exquisite Celica GT-Four collects trophies. There's no other way to put that, really; he has a trophy cabinet and he likes to pick up a new addition at every show he attends. To say that this car is clean is doing it a bit of a disservice... it is virtually immaculate!
His interior needed to be functional and not too much of a deviation from Toyota's original design, but it also needed to catch the judges' eyes and help him to fill the aforementioned trophy cabinet.
So we settled on some classic black leather for the outer sections of the front and rear seats, finished off with white topstitching and white embroidery to match the gleaming white paintwork. The centre panels, however, were a different story.
For these, we used genuine Recaro Avus material. This provided a nice contrast against the black leather. The custom eyelets were added at the owner's request as he wanted to recall the interior design of the first Toyota Celicas from the 1970s.
The doorcards inserts were treated to the Avus fabric as well.
He's picked up quite a few awards for this car now, including a couple for "Best Interior" - he might have to get a larger display cabinet soon!
